BC Government confirms it will not appeal court decision on Mother-Baby Program

In the latest news on the program for incarcerated mothers and their babies, BC government made it clear it will not be challenging the Supreme Court’s decision that the cancellation of the Mother-Baby program at the Alouette Correctional Centre for Women was unconstitutional. The Court gave the correctional facility 6 month to reinstitute the program. B.C.’s Minister of Justice has confirmed that the Court’s deadline will be met. To read more, click here
